Biography

Alexander Thorlton was born and raised in Germany. He advises European investors, companies, and their subsidiaries in Florida. His practice is focused on helping his European clients with market entry, contract negotiations and drafting, litigation, and dispute resolution. Alexander helps his European clients grow their business in the United States and to build a long-term relationship as their lawyer and trusted advisor.

Alexander is able to navigate the legal as well as cross cultural challenges Europeans face when establishing their business in the U.S. Whether it is adequate protection from liability or understanding the differences in discovery obligations, he helps guide clients through the U.S. legal landscape and all its differences to the civil law systems of Europe. Alexander has supported clients from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Netherlands, Turkey, France, Poland,, Italy, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, Japan, Brazil, South Africa, and Peru.

Outside of his practice, Alexander is an active member of the American Council on Germany (ACG), the German-American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern U.S. (GACC South), and the German-American Lawyers’ Association (DAJV).
