Another principle is in general contract terms that are ambiguous will be interpreted against the drafter, as they were in the best position to provide clarity.<\/li><li><strong>Germany<\/strong>: German law provides detailed regulations regarding standard terms and conditions. Unfair contract terms can be declared void, and consumers are afforded significant protection against oppressive or one-sided clauses.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Statute of Limitations<\/strong>:<\/p><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li><strong>United States<\/strong>: The statute of limitations for breach of contract claims varies by state but typically ranges from three to six years.
